Luke and Addy

Addy came over to play today. They haven't gotten to play much here lately. They had so much fun. They spent most of the time in Hudson's toys. They wanted to watch "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer" (it put me in the Christmas spirit, I'm over this heat). They watched the movie in the exersaucer and the bouncy seat. Then they decided they wanted to take a nap (what other 2 and 3 year olds would get together to play and want to nap?) so they just layed down and read to each other. It's funny to listen to what they "read."-- No, they did not go to sleep.

What a face!

Aunt Marci and Aunt Robyn with Hudson and Ella

The kids had so much fun playing in our beautiful new fishing boat.

Our cousins Ella and Louisa were here to visit the last three weeks from Washington, D.C. We spent lots of time with them because we rarely get to see them. We had a great time!

Sorry Tammy, it was one of my only pictures!

I was so bad about taking pictures on the 4th in Milan, so I may make another post later when my aunt sends me some of hers. We had a great time, though. All of the ten cousins plus Luke and Hudson (great grandchildren) were there. We had an eventful fireworks show thanks to Newt and my uncle Adam. Luke was a little better this year but decided he would be better off watching from inside with Mimi and Hudson. (Marci decided to take him inside when he was covering his ears saying "La,la,la,la..." because of the "loud booms.")

Hudson's 3 Month Pictures

I guess it is pretty obvious that Hudson is following in big brother Luke's very large foot steps. I'm not sure how much he weighs but probably in the 16-17 pound range if he is the same as Luke was at this point. He has to be swaddled to sleep and usually gets an 8-9 hour stretch at night. He is getting more alert every day it seems. He literally only cries when he is hungry or tired. Absolutely so easy! We are loving every day with him. He is a great baby. (Not to toot his horn or anything!)

We Love Summer Time

Here is Luke playing with his new "Water Park" from Grandmother. This is before he proceeded to remove ALL of his clothes. He feels the need to do this everytime we play with our new toy. He asks, "Mom, you take yours shirt off too?" I guess he would just love to live at a nudest colony.

Luke's new Lightening McQueen from Grand Bob. He is actually a pretty good little driver.

Here is Luke playing in his "train station." I put all of his trains in this corner and baracaded him in with the ottoman. He plays in there for hours at a time. It is amazing how much fun old toys can be by just putting them in new places.

We are having so much fun swimming this summer. Here is Tori, Emery (Ermry to Luke), Virginia (Murgina), Henry and Luke.

Merrill and Hudson did so good in the shade.

Hudson's Two Month Pictures

Hudson was 14# 4oz at his two month check up. The smallest clothes he wears now is 6 months. We are not surprised because Luke grew at this pace as well. He is really trying to communicate these days. We have "baby-talk" conversations...so much fun! He is a great sleeper. For the most part, he only wakes once a night to eat and goes right back to sleep. As for Luke, the newness is slowly wearing off. Luke just does not realize his own strength. For example, when he tickles he leaves fingernail marks. When he hugs, he squeezes and doesn't let go. (Sorry to all of our friends that have received these tickles and hugs.) One more story and then I'll stop. One night after church Hudson was in my lap and Luke was going in for a kiss on his forehead, so I thought. Hudson let out a bone chilling cry and I noticed teeth marks. I immediately let Luke have it. Luke said in his own words that he did not bite Hudson, but Hudson was Jonah and Luke was the whale. Jonah was just too big. All in all, Luke is adapting wonderfully...ha, ha!

I'm a couple weeks late posting these pictures, but I am gonna try to do this every month because I wish I did this with Luke.
